On an only slightly related note, tomorrow I will be leaving for day zero of Anime Expo! So, for the next five days, I won’t really be online or able to work on anything (which means no SaB page this week after all…whoops). I might be able to pop on every once in a while, but don’t really expect anything from me for the next several days.
Just gonna add my two cents and say that as much as I love Mother 3, as much as it makes my heart churn with all the feels, as much as it is definitely my primary fandom (as if I needed to tell anybody that), I do not consider Mother 3 the best video game ever made.
This is mostly because I don’t think there is a best video game ever made. I’m of the school of thought that as good or beautiful, even, as anything is, video game or otherwise, it cannot be perfect. There can be no perfect video game.
So, Meet the Pyro comes out on my birthday.

So, gonna be training at a local flower stand to see if I can work there this summer. And possibly doing some copywriting work, not sure how that’s gonna go yet.
So apologies in advance if I occasionally descend in to near-mid-college levels of internet inactivity. Again, not sure how that’s gonna go.
I thought Nonakani’s idea of female!Lucas (and tina’s adorable art) was REALLY cute and probably thought about it more than I should’ve. I named her Lucy. I started re-imagining a number of incidents in the game and put her in Lucas’ place–her personality isn’t much different. In addition to being a security blanket of sorts, Lucy refuses to cut her hair in memory of her mother’s own long hair. (I didn’t switch Flint and Hinawa’s roles but that would be really interesting and I kinda wanna mess with it s;fslkfal;sk)
After three years of refusing the Pigmask army and defending Flint’s name she runs into Torakuma and… Dusty? Torakuma is working at club Titiboo as a Chippendales dancer/waiter. Dusty is still an amnesiac bassist because bass players are hot.

I’d say this hiatus has lasted long enough - there’s really no excuse for me to not be working on it any more.
I’m sorry if this gets in the way of timely releases of Impact chapters, or doodle fun times (as much as I loooooooove doodling), or if you guys have to wait even longer for chapter 2 of Hinawa Story, but SaB is still my primary project and even with starting it up regularly again it’s gonna take years, most likely, to finish. Even though I’m expecting my summer to get busier later on, I might as well pick up the pace while I still can XD
Nor do I really have an explanation as to why I wasn’t working on it - it was for probably about twenty different non-important reasons, all combining in to one semi-important reason. But again, at this point I don’t really have an excuse.
I used to be able to do a whole SaB page and still have time to work on other things - I have to reteach myself to do that again.

(But in all seriousness I looked at the promotional material first and it looks pretty fun, so hey. Even though I eternally fail at FPS. Portal somehow didn’t make my head explode, so maybe I’ll be okay.)
So, apparently I now follow a lot of people who like TF2. I have no idea how this happened.
But let it be known that I BLAME YOU FOR THIS. I BLAME YOU ALL FOR THIS.
Though I did learn an interesting lesson from avoiding the Portal games because they were overhyped, only to learn that they’re actually really good.
It also helps that it’s free to play.
I honestly don’t care whether I put the work into the game; I just want to experience it. And not in a let’s play format though; I prefer to walk around and talk to people and look at stuff as I want to too.
Once you get to chapter four, there’s an enemy you can fight (albeit definitely a challenge) that gives you a buttload of experience. If you can pull off defeating it (even multiple times, and then again as your party fills out), you’ll be way overleveled and then you won’t have to stress about fighting enemies nearly as much : ) Gotta get to chapter four first, though. But if you can get that far, it’s a completely viable option.
gonna have to go with the group here. nonakani makes good art and never gets upset with anyone, so far as I’ve seen. very friendly.
