Thank you very much for all those compliments :,D I actually didn’t study illustration. I mean, I took a couple of drawing courses here and there, and I was lucky enough to end up in a really great Animation Pre-Production course while I was an undergrad, but that’s about it, and all of that stuff’s pretty recent.
I have considered selling my artwork (you’re not the first person to ask recently! And I’m crazy flattered by the way, people who asked), and I’m definitely keeping that option open, if nothing else to have that available for people who want prints of my stuff or whatever. And I do usually offer commissions, but I just closed them temporarily.
Thank you for asking, and have a nice day as well! Even though I answered this ask pretty late. Sorry about that.
Thank you! And go ahead! : D You can credit me as ohseagull and just link them over here : )
For the record, anybody is free to share my art wherever, or use it for headers and icons and video content and stuff, as long they link back and everything. The usual “please don’t be an art thief” stuff~
Gonna close down commissions for the next month or so, since I just went back to school and I’m gonna have tests and stuff coming up (and I’d still like to have at least a tiny bit of time to potentially post content if I can manage to do so. I’m very bad at keeping myself from drawing even when I have very little time, so we’ll see). I’ll let you guys know when they’re open again!~
I use Photoshop (CS5) for a good chunk of my stuff, though sometimes I also use Clip/Manga Studio! I highly recommend the latter for Mac users that don’t want to blow tons of money on Photoshop, as it’s a perfectly good program for a far cheaper price. (Photoshop is also great, of course.)
I’ve also been doing lots of traditional media stuff lately - watercolor, generally, but I’ve been messing around with alcohol-based markers as well (Copics and Prismacolors).
