So last night I walked downstairs and
Christmas tree?!
We have a real Christmas tree in our living room. At this very moment. In real life.

Oh yeah also got to see Rebellion Story in theaters last night.
Rebellion Story, man.
I already knew what was going to happen but it was nice to see it in full on a giant screen. (Yes, I liked it. I have quite a few feelings on it that’ll either end up in art, fics, or a giant post at some point, I’m sure. I sure do love character analysis.)
I’m so happy that I can understand all of the (incredibly large amounts of) SnK stuff on my dash now.
For those who were wondering, yes, I did read all of Shingeki no Kyojin.
An IKF doodle I drew for Kuruk a little while back, figured I’d post it.
Well, I’ll post the animatic assuming you guys don’t mind my extremely hastily-drawn panels and inconsistent shading because I’m just trying a bunch of different things to see what works.
Also haha, turns out it’s individual checks on our progress so far, not a class-wide thing. This makes things a lot less stressful.
Well, at least I get to practice drawing panels really really fast. I spent way too much time on panels with the last one.
And unless I end up hating it, I’ll totally post the animatic up here when its done~
Guess who’s gonna be storyboarding all night wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Welp, it’s finally happening. I’m finally starting to read Shingeki no Kyoujin.
Still in chapter one at the moment (and I’m really busy right now, so things’ll probably go pretty slow), but it’s started differently than how I thought it would with my extremely limited knowledge of the whole thing. …This is a good thing, by the way.
I guess, in the end, I feel like I just get my ideas out closer to how I imagine them when I’m writing, rather than drawing.
I love drawing. I love writing, but I also love drawing. I know I have a long way to go in both aspects.
But when I write, even though I know I’m far from perfect, I still feel like I’m at least scratching the surface of what I’m trying to express. It’s far less so with my drawings, where I’m constantly dissatisfied. Nothing I draw, no stylistic elements I adopt, seem to match how I envision things.
