If you’re wondering why I haven’t been posting stuff or answering asks, it’s because I’m super busy with student teaching! I’m in a particularly intensive teaching credential program. It’s fun so far, but certainly keeps me occupied!~

Hello everyone, this is Jenna here to write up the last post on this blog, as the zine is over and I’d give you an update on the final totals and how it was donated today!
The book raised $3000 in profits, and minus paypal fees and conversion rates from GBP to USD we’ve successfully given $2800 of that to Hampton Road’s Standup4Kids division. In fact I just did it now!
From their thankyou:
“Your gift enables StandUp For Kids to provide outreach programs/resources, support in finding safe and stable housing, outreach centers, educational and life-saving services to our homeless and at-risk youth in America”
We were completely floored by your kindness and enthusiasm towards this project. From both Nicole and I we sincerely thank you for this journey, and if we do get a follow up email of how this money is used, we’ll update you here!
I’ve also resent lost copies and failed return orders. We’ve resolved almost everything now so it’s pretty much time to close this chapter. If you have any last questions or queries regarding anything, email crystalgemzine@gmail.com and I’ll be happy to answer!
THANKYOU! WE LOVE YOU! <3

Hi! I'd really like to share my doodles and stuff on tumblr, but I'm insecure and not sure my art's good enough yet. What should I do?
Well, if it’s any consolation, half the time I don’t feel like my art’s good enough to be posting all over the place, either. Yet here we are : >
So really, you might be super nervous about it, but nothing’s gonna happen if you don’t post anything! There’s always a risk with putting yourself out there, But if you never post your work, nobody’s ever going to see it. So you won’t get any negative reactions (or ambivalence), but you won’t get any positive reactions, either. It’s a bit of a wall to get over at first, I know.
Just remember that you’re constantly improving, as long as you keep at it - sometimes I look at my drawings from even a month or less ago and wonder what I was even thinking. So I say to just go for it!
