Ugh I hate it when I can’t draw anything
And I was gonna draw the twins in sweaters, too ;__; Here’s hoping I can get to that before the fad completely blows over.

THE CONCENTRATED BEAM OF NOTICING HAS KNOCKED AWAY MY ANON SHIELD.
ANON SHIELD TERMINATED.
ALSO, HI COMMANDER’S BUTT ICON
Sometimes I original character.
Anyway, here’s some rough head sketches of the protagonist of the collaborative magical girl story me and my rl friend came up with a while back. (And yes, while the original premiere of Madoka did get us thinking about the idea, just on the merit of “I forgot that magical girls are a really fun concept to explore” if nothing else, this has nothing to do with the medukas.) We’re not really working on it actively right now, but I still love the characters we came up with and I tend to doodle them on and off (‘specially Akiko because she’s my babeh, metaphorically speaking).
I designed Akiko before really defaulting fully to the art style I used to reserve only for Mother fanart, though, so the main reason I decided to do this was figure out how the hell to draw her again. X3
Gotta get back in the loop, man.
(Also, why you so dithered, photoshop gif? Just pretend you can’t see all the little red bits, I guess.)

Never played it.
There’s not a lot of writing on it either.
I did find this forum discussion, so take it with a grain os salt:
I remember Itoi describing Mother 3 as kind of a macho game, because “the bad guys fight, and the good guys do too.” The game seems to portray masculinity as going out and fighting, and femininity as not fighting…
What do yall think?
Sorry, but a couple of things in this bug me…
Yes, it does, and it’s a perfect post.
I would also add that Lucas himself is a good example of role reversal for a RPG hero…
This post is now even more perfect
Reblogging because YES GOOD please go check out the full post and replies especially because REALLY GOOD READ, WOW, SERIOUSLY.
