I just realized that I never took any pictures of the stuff I got at Anime Expo.
Hm, maybe later.

I just realized that I never took any pictures of the stuff I got at Anime Expo.
Hm, maybe later.
All on one layer.
Turned out a lot better than I’d expected.
Some ultra rough Meduka doodles from last night.
I love Clip Paint Studio’s potential for really fast, hastily-shaded scrawls.
Not sure why I went with yellow though?
This is actually good for writing in general. Not just fanfics.
Yeah, that was the general idea : ) I’m of the opinion that fanfic, despite all it’s, um, special nuances, is writing like any other and has the same structures and rules. While a few things vary between fanfic and everything else (being idea generation and social opinion, among other things), I handle writing fanfiction in the same manner that I handle writing original pieces.
I might go in to any of the points in this guide (and some things that weren’t) in greater detail in the future, actually. (I’d love to write up a thing about fanfic idea generation someday.)

I’m sorry for the late reply ,: ) And that they’re just a few quick doodles. I did something similar to this for him and his species a while back, actually, but I don’t think I ever posted it anywhere.

whats Clip Studio Paint?
Clip Studio Paint is a not-so-free (comes to about $60 USD) Japanese painting program, which serves to provide Mac users (and everybody else) with the versatility of a Paint Tool SAI-esque program. : ) You can find it at http://www.clip-studio.com/clip_site/, but of course the site’s in Japanese. I know there’s some tutorials on purchasing the program, as well as a patch that translates quite a bit of the program (I used both, myself) that are available and easily findable with a quick trip to the search engine of your choice : )
(And sorry for the late reply!)
I’m sorry I haven’t updated anything lately.
I really wish I could lean on the excuse of buying lots of video games (and that is indeed a thing that I have done), but there’s a lot more going on than that. Between work and driving and dealing with college and money and college money and other personal matters (which have yet to completely sort themselves out, still working on that), my summer ended up being less of a get-back-on-track period and more of a self-searching period.
But somehow, it’s still less of a time issue and more of a motivational issue. I’m definitely busy, mind you, but I was able to make SaB pages in high school and at the start of college no problem. And it’s not like I want to quit working on SaB (Or Hinawa Story or Impact or anything else) by any means - I still love the characters and the story and still have tons of stuff planned for the future. Again, this is something I’m actively trying to figure out right now.
I don’t want to make too many excuses (pages will be done when they’re done, I guess, and my readers have been very nice about it - you guys are patient and awesome and yes), but I feel like I should tell it how it is, or at least mostly.
Though I have been allowing myself to fall in love with video games again this summer. It’s been a while, video games! I missed you guys~ Didn’t play that many in the last year ;_;
