If it’s any consolation, I’ll be paying off college loans for the rest of my life (or at least a decently long time)?  And I’m not exactly going to an expensive college - it’s just how the cookie crumbles, sometimes.

What I mean to say is that even if you don’t have the money, colleges do want you to actually go to them, and will offer all sorts of loans and scholarships to both you and your parents to get you there.  Even if it’s a stressful pain in the ass, you shouldn’t let the price deter you from going to the college that you really want to go to (or, really, to any college if you really want to).  And there’s general scholarships all over the place if you can do some creative searching.
