My verdict on Sword Art Online (anime version) so far after marathoning all the available episodes:
Things SAO is not good at:
- Exposition
- Consistent Pacing
Things SAO is very good at:
- Being visually appealing while never abandoning the conceit that it’s taking place mostly in an MMO, and in fact embracing it instead
- FIGHT SCENES
