2 am Headcanon: I always felt that Hinawa’s character actually hides a great depth of despair. Maybe it’s because I’m compensating for the fact that she’s never portrayed negatively, or maybe it’s just because the story can’t start until she dies. I’m not quite sure how to explain it.

Anyway, drew these yesterday. I’d forgotten how fun these imitation pencil brushes are to use.
I just…man, just this concept! You could totally use Finn’s reactions to the crown as a codifier for how exactly it corrupts people and/or drives them insane and explore the parallels between Finn and the Ice King and develop them as character foils or some other such nonsense, I just really like this idea.

I indeed have a question about your gender bent Mother 3 AU.... In the story, would male!Hinawa die at the start or female!Flint? I'm just assuming Hinawa, but since this is your headcanon thing, I just want to be sure! :D
Probably still Hinawa, I think? I mean, nobody’s personalities got switched around with their genders, and the loss of Hinawa’s specific personality, I think, is part of the reason that things in Mother 3 turned out the way they did.
(Not that nothing would have happened if Flint had died instead, but I doubt Hinawa would have gone on a rampage of any sort, which means she wouldn’t be in jail overnight and during the funeral and be unable to comfort the twins, and then she might have been able to dissuade Claus - or, in this case, Colette, from doing something stupid, etc.)

Fun fact: much like how Lucy is the feminine of Lucas, and has the same meaning (yay Pepper), Colette is the feminine equivalent in meaning to Claus : ) That’s my justification and I’m sticking to it

Sorry for all of the super-rough sketches lately - been trying to get myself back in to the swing of things.
Also, classes start in a few weeks and as much as I’m looking forward to it, after everything that happened last year I’m more than a little apprehensive.
This is actually a serious problem with my work - I mean, the Commander and the pigmasks in SaB are almost the same height most of the time, for goodness’ sake!
